Meet Ryan!

As a therapist, I aim to be a steady presence—a lighthouse providing light as you move through turbulent waters toward calmer seas.

My approach is grounded in a social justice framework that honors both personal and systemic influences on well-being. I recognize that therapy alone cannot dismantle the structural roots of suffering, but within this space, I strive to hold room for healing, resistance, resilience, and collective liberation. I work holistically, committed to seeing you in the fullness of your lived experience.

Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and reshape the narratives that may be holding you back. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk beside you—offering support, insight, and a space tailored to your unique journey.

While I bring clinical training and therapeutic experience into our sessions, I also remain deeply engaged in the world beyond the therapy room—continuously learning, advocating, and taking action in alignment with justice and liberation.

Just as the sea is vast and ever-changing, I believe in embracing the ebb and flow of personal growth—with compassion, curiosity, and courage.

Education

I hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Feminist & Gender Studies and Neuroscience from Colorado College, and earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Puget Sound. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University.

Clinically, I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I also have specific experience treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). My background in both neuroscience and gender studies gives me a unique lens to support clients holistically.

Previous to my work in mental health, I was trained in wilderness and emergency medicine.

Meet the team!

Just kidding—sort of! If we meet virtually, there's a good chance you’ll spot my first-mates, Twinkie and Margarine.

When I’m not providing therapy, you can find me out on a hike, bird watching, playing Pokémon, or spending quality time with my family.
